The Essensuals Hairdressing brand came into existence in 1997 as a result of an idea that existed between Toni, Sacha and Christian Mascolo. That idea was to create a young and contemporary “diffusion line” of the Toni and Guy brand that attracted and maintained a younger clientele through cutting edge style and colour.
Today Essensuals Hairdressing has 63 salons worldwide, with 34 situated in the UK and a recent addition in Los Angeles, USA, growing Essensuals as a respected and recognised global hairdressing brand. Our Glasgow salon officially opened in late 2001and immediately made its mark on the hairdressing scene across Scotland and the UK.
The salon enjoyed early successes, including winning the L'Oreål colour trophy (Scotland) as well as being finalists in Scottish Hairdresser of the year. 10 years later in 2011 the salon was taken over by creative directors, Tony and Jo Ferguson who both have an extensive experience in training and working with Toni and Guy.
Both have worked and trained with the renowned Toni and Guy International Artistic team, provided hair styling for the BBC and Gok Wan’s How to Look Good Naked road show.
Only just recently the the Salon was picked as a finalist in the Essensuals Salon of the year award, 2012.
