History of Orwell Veterinary Group

Born out of tradition and grown through reputation for care and service, Orwell Vets is a family owned and run ipswich vet hospital based on Grange Farm, Kesgrave with branches in Ipswich town centre, Ravenswood and Stutton.

Brothers Charles and James Bagnall have built Orwell Vet Group into a multi branch, multi award winning vet practice from its humble beginnings as a one vet ipswich vets practice. Both Charles and James grew up and went to School in Suffolk and are passionate about the job they do in a town and area they know and have lived in for most of their lives.

Orwell Vet Group is an awarding winning veterinary practice, winning PetPlan Vet Practice of the Year in 2008. From our tier 3 Veterinary Hospital on Grange Farm (on the outskirts of Ipswich, and near Woodbridge and Felixstowe Suffolk) we can provide state of the art veterinary care coupled with excellent customer service. Orwell vet group has evolved over many years into the award winning, multi branch small animal hospital in and around Ipswich. Our key strengths and reputation are based on high standards of patient care and customer service. In 1993 Brothers Charles and James Bagnall took over a small vet practice on Berners Street in Ipswich. The practice grew rapidly through an increasing reputation for their dedicated approach to patient care and customer service. The brothers have been keen to carry these key strengths forward as the practice has expanded and they remain key to their success today.
