Established in 2004 Goodacre Physiotherapy is located in central Sunderland and has good access via bus or metro, with free parking at the rear of the practice. Inside, a classic décor coupled with spacious rooms create a pleasant atmosphere in which to relax and be looked after.Lead Physiotherapist: Sam Goodacre BSc(Hons)Physiotherapy, MCSP,MHPC,MAACP.Sam graduated from Northumbria university in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in physiotherapy. With a junior post at North Tyneside Hospital he experienced many aspects of patient care, from intensive care and surgical wards to out patient clinics and exercise classes. Providing care for both the young and the elderly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy he progressed to a senior post at Gateshead Health Trust. Working with consultants in clinics and observing in theatre provided valuable insights and knowledge, whilst time spent in GP practices and a variety of out patient clinics helped refine practical “hands on” skills.Now an established provider of physiotherapy in private practice, Sam treats patients from all walks of life, but still has an affinity with sporting injuries. A career in professional sport was cut short by injury and through rehabilitation following several surgical procedures, he is acutely aware of the patient’s perspective when in the hands of the physiotherapist.
